Note: when I said that we’ll get to see what the world searched for on Google, I really meant the world. These are the year’s most popular global searches. And not all of them, I left out the boring ones.

The top question people are asking is “what order should I watch Star Wars?” I know there are (at least) 5 ways to re-watch the previous episodes:
- Release order – watch the Star Wars movies in the order they were released. Start with Episodes 4, 5 and 6, the original trilogy, and then watch Episodes 1, 2 and 3, the prequel trilogy that shows us how Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader.
- Episode order – start with Episode 1: The Phantom Menace and make your way up to Episode 6: Return of the Jedi.
- Flashback order – watch Episodes 4 and 5 to get into Luke Skywalker’s story. Once Darth Vader reveals himself as Luke’s father, watch Episodes 1, 2 and 3 as a flashback that present’s Darth Vader’s story. And end it by watching Episode 6.
- Machete order – the same as Flashback, but you skip Episode 1. You won’t lose any relevant information because it’s reintroduced in Episode 2 and 3. You will lose Darth Maul, it’s true. But you’ll also lose Jar Jar Binks, so it all evens out.
