Nuka World, the 6th game add-on for Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic Fallout 4 game, has just been released. If you're at least level 30, you can jump right in and play.

But before you do, take a look at the list below. It quickly goes over 10 things you must know about Nuka World.

1. Nuka World is a vast amusement park

This game add-on introduces a brand new location: Nuka World, a vast amusement park with an open wasteland and unique park zones. The park used to be a family-friendly wonderland. Not anymore! Now it’s home to strange new creatures and Raiders. Lots of Raiders!

"Size-wise Nuka-World is just a little bit smaller than Far Harbor,” Lead Level Designer Justin Schram explained. "But the density of content and the sheer amount of things to do makes it almost as big. There’s so much packed into it."

2. Nuka World is split into 6 different areas

As seen in the map above, the Nuka World amusement park is split into 6 different zones, each with its own attractions and dangers. Dry Rock Gulch for example is similar to a Wild West town, while Safari Adventure is like a zoo. Explore these regions, fight the dangerous creatures you come across, and claim them for your Raider gang. Speaking about that…

3. For once, you get to play the bad guy

When you get to Nuka World, you’ll have to defeat the existing Overboss and thus become the new Raider Overboss. You’ll have access to Raider clothing, Raider building items, even a Raider companion.

It’s up to you to decide what sort of Raider Overboss you want to be. You could be a ruthless, mindless, cold-blooded killer. Or you could be what Bethesda jokingly calls "a kindhearted Raider."

4. There are 3 different Raider gangs

Nuka World is home to 3 different Raider gangs, each with its own distinct motives and styles:
  • The Operators – stealthy and efficient, preferring to strike from the shadows.
  • The Disciples – deranged lunatics interested in mayhem and murder.
  • The Pack – they’re crazy, but they love animals.
When you conquer a park region, you get to decide which gang will control it.

5. Bottle & Cappy show up in Fallout Shelter

Bottle & Cappy, Nuka World’s mascots, show up in another Bethesda game: Fallout Shelter.

"To celebrate the launch of the Nuka-World add-on for Fallout 4, all Fallout Shelter players will receive their first Special Event Quest: a Nuka-World–themed mission that, once completed, allows Nuka-World mascots Bottle and Cappy to appear in the Vault. Tapping on Bottle and Cappy while they visit will reward players with Caps and Nuka-Cola Quantum," said Bethesda.

6. You can turn a paddle ball into a weapon

Nuka World introduces new weapons, like the Acid Soaker and the Thirst Zapper. But the one that stands out the most is the Paddle Ball, which you can mod with spikes, electric shocks, fire, even weaponized Nuka-Cola.

7. Get prizes by playing arcade games

Visit the Nuka-Cade and play arcade games such as Hoop Shot, Atomic Rollers, Red Menace Whac-a-Commie, The Bandit Roundup or The Nuka-Zapper Race. By playing these games you earn tickets which you can redeem for prizes.

8. You’ll encounter a character from Fallout 3

Remember Sierra Petrovita, the Nuka-Cola addict from Fallout 3? You’ll find her in Nuka World and she’ll give you a quest called "Cappy in a Haystack".

9. There's a Nuka Cola-themed Power Armor suit

You'll be able to find it once you reach the World of Refreshment region.

10. Bethesda won’t release any more add-ons

Nuka World is the 6th and final game add-on for Fallout 4.

Here’s a quick recap of the add-ons Bethesda released so far:
  • Automatron – released in March, it introduces the mysterious Mechanist and the option to build your own custom robot.
  • Wasteland Workshop – released in April, it lets you capture and tame wild creatures, and even have them face off in battle.
  • Far Harbor – released in May, it introduces the largest landmass for an add-on that Bethesda has ever created.
  • Contraptions Workshop – released in June, it lets you build all sort of crazy machines.
  • Vault-Tec Workshop – released in July, it lets you create your own custom vault.

Nuka World is free if you have a Fallout 4 Season Pass. If you don't it will set you back $20.
