Halloween Special: Angry Birds Halloween Edition for iPhone, Halloween Ringtones and Wallpapers
As we reported a few days ago, developer Rovio Games has released Angry Birds Halloween for iPhone and iPod touch and Angry Birds Halloween HD for iPad. Available on the App Store for $0.99 and $1.99 respectively, these new Halloween-themed games combine the exciting game play of the immensely popular Angry Birds game with various Halloween treats. The Halloween treats include pumpkins, ghosts, ghouls and ghastly costumes.
“Angry Birds Halloween includes 45 levels, which is three times more than our regular updates! However, that’s not all there is to these special edition apps; every aspect of the game has been recreated in the spirit of Halloween, so expect new spooky theme music, hair-raising graphical themes, and puzzling pumpkin-smashing action,” announced Rovio in a blog post last week.
It turns out that the Halloween Editions were quite popular – which is not surprising considering how popular the Angry Birds game is. A couple of days ago Rovio announced that in just 6 days after the launch of Angry Brids Halloween, the app was downloaded more than 1 million times. The app reached the number 1 spot in the US App Store and in the UK App Store within 24 hours of launch.
“We’re delighted too see such fantastic reception for Angry Birds Halloween! We intend to continue creating more and more quality products and updates, and keep exceeding the expectations of our fans worldwide,” said Rovio in a blog post.
