Did you already get your Halloween shopping done? Did you decorate your home with spooky, ghoulish decorations? Did you get your ghoulish, spooky Halloween costume? If you answered “Yes” to all those questions, then you have some spare time on your hands – time that you could use playing a cool new game launched by Yahoo! Labs.

The game I am talking about is called Shambling Hordes. Released by Yahoo! just in time for Halloween and available in Yahoo’s Sandbox, this game puts in command of a legion of Zombie warriors. In command of your zombie legion, you fight against your friends or against random people online.

You have a home base where you can produce zombies. Your opponent, also has a home base where he or she can produce zombies. The goal is to produce enough armies to form a powerful army that will crush your enemy’s army. In the game, which takes place on a map of countries, you have to beat your opponent and claim new territories.

The Yahoo! Labs Teams provided this explanation of how the Shambling Hordes games works:
Within the world of the game, the zombie apocalypse is upon us and the world is being divided and conquered by warlords, each leading their Shambling Horde of zombies.
Each player can move their zombie army into different territories on a fictitious island.
As the two armies begin to meet in those territories, skirmishes ensue.
Each player allocates his or her zombies into three groups during a skirmish and the winner is determined by matching the three different groups against each other.
It’s a best two-out-of-three contest and the winner of the skirmish is able to spawn additional zombies to continue their march.
The battle ends when one player’s Shambling Horde reaches the other’s command post.

Sounds fun, doesn’t it? So what are you waiting for, get started with Shambling Hordes by clicking here.
