Try before you buy. It’s a heck of a lot more convenient than buying a game and then returning it. And if you don’t want to buy, at least you got to play for free and that’s definitely something, right?
That is the case with the three first-person shooter video games listed below. You can play two of them for free this weekend, and you can play the third one for free next weekend.
1. Squad
Squad, a tactical FPS game that puts the emphasis on teamwork and communication, is free to play on Steam until Sunday, November 13, at 1PM Pacific Time. If you like the 50-vs-50 team-based military experience the game has to offer, you can purchase Squad for half its regular price, $20 instead of $40. There’s a clock on the discount, obviously. You have until Monday, November 14 to decide if you want to buy the game or not.
"We hope our friends and fans can see this as a great opportunity to bring some of their more risk averse friends into the Squad family and we as developers are treating this as an opportunity to get out there in the wilds and experience the game through fresh sets of eyes," said Squad’s developer and publisher, Offworld Industries.
