It’s that time again. The end of the week, when you couldn’t care less about work or productivity, and you don't feel like reading serious news about serious topics.

So just like the weeks before, I invite you to check out 10 news that will put a smile on your face, make you laugh, and probably even make you say what the f...

1. Someone got Windows 95 to run on an Apple Watch

By default, Apple’s smartwatch runs the WatchOS operating system. With a little tinkering, you can get it to run Microsoft’s Windows operating system. That’s what Nick Lee did (he's the CTO of the Tendigi mobile product design studio).

Lee managed to get Windows 95 running on an Apple Watch. But, because it is emulated, it takes about an hour to boot.

2. SkinTrack turns your skin into a touchscreen

I have a 5.5-inch smartphone – or phablet, whatever. The point is that I don’t like small screens. And that is one of the problems with smartwatches. The touchscreen is just too small!

SkinTrack aims to fix that problem by turning your skin into a touchscreen. “SkinTrack is a wearable system that enables continuous touch tracking on the skin,” says its official description.

3. McTrax lets you play music on a McDonald’s tray

McDonald’s Netherlands had a cool surprise for its customers: McTrax, a paper placemat that uses conductive ink to connect to a smartphone and turn the McDonald’s tray into a full music production station.

4. Improve your running times with Puma’s BeatBot

Everyone is into fitness these days, counting their steps, doing cardio, jogging and running. If you’re into that as well, then you need to know about the PUMA BeatBot, “a programmable, self-driving, line-following robot that inspires PUMA’s runners of all levels to push harder by giving them a real visual target to beat, not just the time on a stopwatch.”

5. GoT intro remade as a '90s TV show

Everyone’s hyped about the new season of Game of Thrones. No wonder then that this video started making the round again. Originally released in 2014, it presents how the Game of Thrones intro would have looked if the show had aired in the '90s.

6. POTUS dancing with R2-D2 and some Stormtroopers

I celebrated May the 4th, which is Star Wars Day by the way, by watching The Force Awakens one more time. The President of the United States (POTUS), Barack Obama, celebrated with a little dance alongside R2-D2 and a couple of Stormtroopers.

The whole thing was posted on Twitter with the title “Dance. Or dance not. There is no try.”

7. ANA mixes airline noises to recreate the Star Wars theme

Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) celebrated Star Wars Day by taking the sounds of running an airline and mixing them together to recreate the iconic Star Wars theme. That’s fitting, considering that ANA has an over-the-top airplane decorated to look like R2-D2.

8. This bionic arm reminds me of Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker

Darth Vader had his arm cut off and so did Luke Skywalker. Did that impair them? Not in the least, because they had it replaced with a robotic arm.

Which brings me to this: researchers from Simon Fraser University in Canada came up with a control system that basically makes bionic arms feel and work just like the real thing.

9. Microsoft’s free Windows 10 upgrade will soon expire

Windows 10, which was released to the public in July 2015, will celebrate its first anniversary soon.

The good news is that Microsoft will release a Windows 10 Anniversary Update that will introduce a lot of useful new features.

The bad news is that Microsoft will stop offering Windows 10 as a free upgrade. This means you have until July 29 to upgrade for free.

10. The official launch trailer for 2016's Doom is here

The official launch trailer for 2016’s reboot of the Doom franchise has just been released. Developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks, the new Doom game is going to be released worldwide next Friday, on May 13th. A detailed list of unlock times is available here.

"DOOM is back! With a brutal single-player campaign, iconic fast-paced multiplayer, and the ability to create and play your own levels with SnapMap, DOOM delivers all the guns, demons and action you’ve been craving. It’s time to Fight Like Hell," says Bethesda in the trailer's description.
