Opera Browser Comes Pre-installed on Nokia X Android-powered Smartphones
The properly good Opera web browser comes preinstalled on the new Nokia X family of products, the Nokia X, X+ and XL. The X family is Nokia’s first range of Android-powered smartphones.

Norwegian developer Opera Software is quite excited about the launch of Nokia’s first range of Android smartphones, the Nokia X, X+ and XL. The developer is excited because its Opera web browser comes pre-installed on the Nokia X software platform. Frank X. Shaw, Corporate Vice President of Communications at Microsoft, explained that the acquisition has not gone through yet. Consequently Nokia and Microsoft operate as two independent companies. This means that Nokia is still free to launch any device it wants, even Android-powered ones.
Shaw pointed out that Microsoft’s primary smartphone strategy remains Windows Phone. It remains to be seen if Microsoft will pull the plug or keep the Android-powered Nokia X family once the acquisition goes through.
