Nokia recently introduced Treasure Tag, a small device that will help you keep track of valuable objects.

Place it on a valuable item and when that item is out of bounds the Treasure Tag will emit an acoustic warning. Should you somehow lose that valuable item, you can locate it by using the Nokia Tag app on your Lumia smartphone.

Nokia Treasure Tag is a small device (30 x 30 x 10mm) that will help you keep track of your car keys, wallet, bag, or some other valuable item. When I say “keep track” I mean it will help you not lose your car keys, wallet, bag, and so on. Should you lose an object, Nokia Treasure Tag will help you locate it.

The whole thing works like this. First up you must attach Treasure Tag to an item, say a bag for example. Next up you must pair it to your Lumia Windows Phone. When you get out of range from the tagged bag, the Lumia Windows Phone and the Treasure Tag will emit a loud tone. This way you will be reminded about the bag and you won’t forget it somewhere. If you do forget it somewhere, the Nokia Tag app will help you locate it on a map, a map powered by HERE.

More than 1 tag can be connected to a single Lumia smartphone. You can have up to 4 Treasure Tags all connected to your Lumia. Each Tag can be placed onto your start screen as a live tile; the color of the tag inside the Nokia Tag app will match the color of the Treasure Tag attached to your bag, wallet, and so on.

Nokia Treasure Tag features a standard coin cell type (CR-2032) battery that should last for up to 6 months. When the battery runs out of power, it can be easily replaced.

Nokia Treasure Tag is available in 4 colors: cyan, yellow, white and black.

The recommended retail price for the device is $29.90 or €24,90.
Nokia Treasure goes on sale this April.
The device works with Lumia phones that have the Lumia Black update.
Support for Android and iOS devices will be offered by third-party apps.
