1. Maroon 5’s latest video is a Pokémon Go parody

Even though Pokémon Go has lost a considerable chunk of players, the game is still very popular. So popular that Maroon 5 has decided to parody it for their song "Don’t Wanna Know."

2. Learn to fight like Jedi Master from Star Wars

LudoSport, a competitive lightsaber school for Star Wars fans, is opening its first school in the United States. Not just anywhere in the US. In San Francisco, where Lucasfilm is headquartered.

4. The 32GB iPhone 7 has lousy storage performance

GSMArena’s report that the 32GB iPhone 7 has slower storage performance than the 128GB and 256GB models has been confirmed by Unbox Therapy's Lewis Hilsenteger. Turns out that the 32GB iPhone 7 has 8X slower data write speeds.



While the 128GB model writes at 341MB per second, the 32GB model writes at 42MB per second. That’s nearly 8 times slower.

6. Bing predicts a win for Hillary Clinton

Use Bing to search for "election predictions" and Microsoft’s search engine will tell you that Hillary Clinton has an 87% chance to win.



Look up "Election 2016 Predictions By State" and Bing will tell who will win each state.



It remains to be seen if Bing’s prediction is accurate.


7. Scoot around town with the WalkCar

Cocoa Motors' WalkCar is an ultra-compact personal transport device that looks like a laptop. A laptop that you can ride around town, reaching speeds of up to 10mph.



If you want one, get ready to pay $1,280. Cocoa Motors begins taking pre-orders on Oct. 21st. Shipping should start next September, to 13 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, North America and Europe.


8. In Prey’s alternate history, JFK survived

The upcoming Prey game has an alternate history, one where President Kennedy survived the assassination. This is what leads to the central conflict in the game.

"After recovering from the attempt on his life, Kennedy threw his nation further into the space race by taking control of a U.S./Russian joint program and transforming a Russian satellite into a fully functional R&D facility meant to study non-terrestrials," explained Bethesda’s Anne Lewis. "This facility later became Talos I, a highly advanced space station owned by the TranStar Corporation. In just the scant few years since TranStar took over, the station has been used as the testing ground for some morally dubious experiments, with people on board serving as subjects."



Prey is currently in development at Arkane Studios and set to be published by Bethesda in 2017.

9. Red Dead Redemption is coming to PC (via PlayStation Now)

After Rockstar Games announced that they’re working on Red Dead Redemption 2, Sony announced that they’re adding Red Dead Redemption to PlayStation Now, the subscription service that lets you play more than 400 PS3 games on your PC.



PlayStation Now offers a 7-day free trial. After that, you have to choose if you want to pay $19.99 per month or $44.99 for 3 months.

10. Nintendo’s NX is a hybrid handheld console called Switch

Nintendo’s next generation video game console, known under the codename NX, has finally been unveiled, under a new name: Switch. The name refers to the fact that you can use it at home and one the go; it works as a stationary and as a mobile gaming system.



“Nintendo Switch allows gamers the freedom to play however they like,” said Reggie Fils-Aime, President and COO, Nintendo of America. “It gives game developers new abilities to bring their creative visions to life by opening up the concept of gaming without boundaries.”
