Key Galaxy S5, Gear 2, and Gear Fit Features Presented in Official Hands-on Video

Samsung rolled out the official hands-on video for the new Galaxy S5 smartphone. Samsung also rolled out the official hands-on video for the new Gear 2 and Gear Fit wearable devices.

The videos highlight the key features these devices have to offer. Both videos are embedded below. Scroll down to see them.


Here is the official hands-on video released by Samsung for the Galaxy S5 smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S5 – Main Features

  • Design – contoured shape, perforated pattern on the back cover, dust and water resistant
  • Camera – 16MB rear camera, 2MP front camera. Samsung pointed out that the S5’s camera offers the world’s fastest autofocus speed up to 0.3 seconds.
  • Download – receive and send data at blazing speeds since the S5 provides support for fifth generation Wi-Fi 802.11ac and 2X2 MIMO and since the S5 comes with a Download Booster feature.
  • S Health – tools to stay fit and well are offered by the enhanced S Health 3.0. It features a comprehensive personal fitness tracker, a pedometer, built-in heart rate monitor, and other tools.
  • Other features – like the ultra-power saving mode that lets you use your S5 for a longer period of time.

Samsung Gear 2 – Main Features
  • Design – slim lightweight design with a premium finish.
  • Communication – check text messages, receive calls, reject calls.
  • Fitness – check out the built-in heart rate sensor.
  • Other features – such as the WatchON remote control feature.

Samsung Gear Fit – Main Features
  • Design - dust and water-resistant; curved 1.84-inch super AMOLED touchscreen display; interchangeable straps.
  • Fitness – the Gear Fit also has a built-in heart rate sensor.
  • Notifications – notifications for calls, emails, alarms, and more are presented to you.
