Having a job, a wife that demands I pay her a minimum amount of attention, and a passion for video games, doesn’t exactly make for the best combo. I have time to play, but nowhere near as much as I would want to, leading to a huge backlog of unplayed games. I have the money to buy new releases, but I don't want to pay full price for a game that's just going to be added to my backlog.

Even if get all hyped about a new game, chances are that I won’t buy it on release date, and I’m certainly not going to pre-order it. I’m going to wait and see if the reviews are favorable and if they are, I'm going to wait and get it on sale. By that time, it won’t be a brand new, recently released game. And that doesn’t bother me in the least! After all, playing older games is actually a blessing in disguise (or a pain, depending on how you look at it).
