What the Updated Twitter Apps for iOS and Android Have to Offer
- Expanded tweets – tweets can be expanded with the iOS and Android apps, just like they can be expanded on twitter.com. This means you can read article summaries, view images, and play videos when you tap a tweet that links to The Atlantic, Etsy, or Vimeo for example.
- Experience events – the iOS Twitter app complements live events by helping you discover Tweets and photos from said events.
- Enhanced search – you will be presented with more suggestions when you search for people and that’s because major improvements in search autocomplete have been made.
- Push notifications – the updated apps come with support for push notifications for tweets. When a person you follow tweets or retweets something, you get a push notification on your iOS and Android app.
