By now, you probably know everything there is to know about the brand new Galaxy S8 smartphone. Still, that’s not going to stop Samsung from talking about its latest and greatest.

Listed below are several photos that, as Samsung put it, present the " 8 truly innovative, first-time features of the new Galaxy S8 and S8+ worth checking out." So go check them out.

1. Infinity Display

The Galaxy S8 isn’t exactly bezel-less. The bezel is still there, but it’s been considerably reduced. So much so that the display takes up more than 80% of the phone’s front screen.

2. Bixby

Bixby is actually pretty cool, but there’s still a lot of work to be done. Right now, it’s integrated with only a handful of apps and it will take a bit of time until it gains wider app support.

3. Biometric Authentication

You can protect your Galaxy S8 the classic way, with a PIN, password or a pattern. Or you could protect it with a biometric solution, such as fingerprint scanning, facial recognition, or iris scanning. But… you’re not going to bother and you’ll leave it unlocked, aren’t you?

4. 10nm Mobile Processor

The Galaxy S8 is faster than its predecessor and it is the first mobile to come equipped with a 10nm processor. An Octa-core (2.3GHz Quad + 1.7GHz Quad), 64 bit, 10 nm processor or Octa-core (2.35GHz Quad + 1.9GHz Quad), 64 bit, 10 nm processor.

5. Samsung DeX

Microsoft's Continuum failed for a very simple reason: no one wants to buy a Windows phone! Will Samsung customers want to use DeX to turn their mobile into a desktop? Only time will tell. Oh, and did you know that Microsoft is offering a customized Galaxy S8 for pre-order?

6. Gigbit LTE & Gigabit Wi-fi

While the Galaxy S7 has LTE Cat. 9, the Galaxy S8 features LTE Cat. 16, meaning it can download files at up to 1Gbps. There’s just one issue, pulled straight from the official specs: LTE Cat. 16 May differ by markets and mobile operators.

7. Mobile HD Premium

The Galaxy S8 has a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ display, with a resolution of 2960x1440, and a pixel density of 570ppi. The Galaxy S8+ has a larger 6.2-inch Quad HD+ display, with the same resolution and a 529ppi count. What does that mean? It means that the images look really, really good!

8. Bluetooth 5

The Galaxy S8 is the first phone to feature Bluetooth 5. This is great because the new protocol is 2x faster, has 4x more range, and uses less power. But best of all, it can stream audio to two Bluetooth headsets or speakers at once.
