Microsoft Health – Microsoft’s New Platform for Fitness and Health
Microsoft Health, the new platform that Microsoft recently introduced, is meant to help you track your personal fitness and monitor your fitness activities. From a central location, from Microsoft Health, you can access lots of fitness data: burnt calories, heart rate, steps, and other info collected from various health and fitness devices and services.
“Within health and fitness, there is rapid innovation occurring around wearable devices with smart sensors that are telling us more about our lives. A vibrant marketplace of devices and services is giving us access to a wealth of data about our nutrition, health and fitness. We see an opportunity to bring these devices and services together to allow you to combine the information they collect and use the power of the cloud to turn that data in to something more valuable,” explained Corporate Vice President,Todd Holmdahl.
Microsoft Health is available as an app for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.
Microsoft Health works with UP by Jawbone, MapMyFitness, MyFitnessPal and RunKeeper; support for more devices and services will be added in the future.
Microsoft Health also works with the new Microsoft Health wearable device.
