RedDodo is an online service that performs one simple, but very useful task for the mobile phone users out there that want to customize their device: it lets you set up customized wallpapers or screensavers to use on your phone’s screen. There are a multitude of templates to go though (some examples in the image at the bottom); all you have to do is replace “Your Text” with whatever piece of text you want to be displayed there.

Here are some other bits and pieces you should be made aware of: you can set up animated wallpapers and screensavers; you get to customize the text that will be displayed, just that it has to be no longer than 19 characters; more than 200 phone models are currently supported, and more are being added as time goes by; there are 5 supported formats (240x320, 176x220, 176x208, 176x144, 128x160, 128x128).

If you want to customize your mobile phone via RedDodo, here are the steps that you must follow. As you will see, they are not complicated at all, and what you will end up with is a customized wallpaper or screensaver that you can boast about to your friends. The steps that you must follow are:
- Visit the RedDodo web page here and select the template that suits you best.
- Click the template and provide the following info: mobile phone type (select “General” if your device’s manufacturer is not listed), resolution, custom text (19 characters at most).
- Download the customized wallpaper/screensaver to your computer so that you can transfer it to your mobile phone at your leisure. You can do so by using the device’s data cable, or by using a Bluetooth powered transfer device. If you cannot connect your phone to your computer, there is an alternative option at your disposal: RedDodo will generate a WAP download link to which you can connect and download the wallpaper.
