Layout from Instagram, the collage-making app that Instagram rolled out to Apple’s App Store close to two months ago, has now landed on Google Play.

This means that Layout from Instagram is no longer an iOS-exclusive. It’s now available for Android as well.

Back in March, photo and video-sharing website Instagram introduced a new mobile app called Layout from Instagram and explained that the app can be used to “flex your creativity” and “combine multiple photos into a single image”.

At the time of launch, Layout from Instagram was available for a single platform: Apple’s iOS mobile operating system (iOS 7.0 or newer to be more precise). Instagram explained back in March that it is also working on a version for Google’s Android mobile operating system and said that it will be released in the coming months.

Close to two months have passed since Instagram released its Layout app and I have some good news for all the Android users out there who have been waiting for it. Layout from Instagram just landed on Google Play. You can get it right now, for free of course, and use it to “create fun, one-of-a-kind layouts by remixing your own photos and sharing them with your friends.”

Layout from Instagram – Main Features

• Custom layouts – use up to 9 photos to create layouts; as you select what photos to use, the app shows previews of custom layouts; drag and drop photos to arrange them in the order you want; pinch to resize photos.
• Faces tab– from the Faces tab you can find photos with people in them.
• Camera roll or Photo booth – select photos from your phone’s Camera Roll or take new photos in Photo Booth mode.
• Recents tab – it displays the last 30 photos you selected.
• Save or share – when you’re done creating a custom layout, you can save it to your camera roll or share it with others.
• No signup or account required.
