Yahoo! Messenger is a very popular instant messaging client in Romania and the team behind it are not oblivious to this fact. That is why the Yahoo! Messenger team had a couple of presents for all the Romanian users out there.

The first present was the introduction of Romanian to the list of supported languages in Yahoo! Messenger 11.5. Romanian users who upgraded to Yahoo! Messenger 11.5 can enjoy all the nice features the application has to offer in their native language.


“We value all our users around the world and try as much as we can to deliver a truly local experience. With this new release, millions of users in Romania will now be able to use Yahoo! Messenger in Romanian by selecting it from the language box on the sign-in page!” said the Yahoo! Messenger team when Yahoo! Messenger 11.5 was released.

Moving on, the second present Romanian users got from the Yahoo! Messenger team was the introduction of local news to Yahoo! Insider. Romanian users of Yahoo! Messenger now have easy access to locally relevant news in their native language thanks to Yahoo! Insider in Romanian.

Yahoo! Insider is set to automatically launch when the user opens Yahoo! Messenger. After the user closes Yahoo! Insider, he can access it again by clicking the Y! Insider icon from the top right hand corner of Yahoo! Messenger’s interface.

I mentioned above that Yahoo! Messenger 11.5 comes with a bunch of nice new features. If you’re not familiar with the nice new features Yahoo! Messenger 11.5 has to offer, here’s the lowdown: tabbed IMs, better spam protection, new social games, recent contacts, smart archiving, snap and share, and easy access to all emoticons, even hidden ones.
