Microsoft is once again promoting its Internet Explorer 10 web browser and its HTML5 capabilities by making an exciting game available online. The game this time is Thief of Thieves: Experience.

Earlier today we reported that Contre Jour for the web received two new worlds made up of twenty new levels. As you may already know, Microsoft brought Contre Jour to the web with the aim of promoting its IE10 web browser and the fact that IE10 supports HTML5. But Contre Jour was released to the web back in October 2012. Care to know what other new game has been made available on the web by Microsoft?

In partnership with Skybound and creative agency Bradley and Montgomery, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer team brought Robert Kirkman’s “Thief of Thieves: Experience” to the web. This is an interactive online game based on the comic book series that tells the story of Conrad Paulson, alias Redmond, a master thief who steals from other thieves to make up for his past robberies and gain redemption. Play the game inside the browser and you will be able to create your own secret thief identity, work on your larceny skills, and take part in a big heist.

“I’m really pleased with how well the web experience captures the setting we were trying to build for Thief of Thieves. It’s a great way for fans of the of the Thief of Thieves comic books to immerse themselves in Redmond’s world and really interact with the story,” said Robert Kirkman.

“The [Thief of Thieves] site is a showcase of the new features in Internet Explorer 10, including full multi-touch capabilities and HTML5 support,” said the Internet Explorer Developer Relations team. “We thought bringing the comic book style to the web would suit the immersive, chromeless browsing experience on Internet Explorer with Windows 8.”
