Yesterday we were reporting that Rovio Mobile, the Finnish developer behind the immensely popular Angry Birds game, will update Angry Birds Seasons in honor of St Patrick’s Day. The update was confirmed by Peter Vesterbacka (Rovio Mobile CEO) at the Game Developer Conference and by the Angry Birds Facebook Page.

The Angry Birds Facebook page said that the update would be called Go Green. It also said that a video showcasing the St Patrick’s Day update has already been posted online on popular video sharing site YouTube here. That was yesterday.

Today, the Angry Birds Facebook page announced that the St Patrick’s Day update for Angry Birds seasons will be released tomorrow, the 10th of March.

“CA-CAW! Did you already check out the second episode of our miniseries? More to follow soon! Oh, and don't forget: Angry Birds Seasons Goes Green on March 10 in App Store and on Android!” said the post on Facebook. The “second part of our miniseries” part is a reference to the fact that Rovio Mobile is using Angry Birds to promote Microsoft’s Bing.

Rovio came up with a four video miniseries that showcases the usefulness of Bing. The first two episodes (first one here, second one here) have already been posted online; the other ones will be posted to Rovio’s YouTube channel in the near future.

Spoiler Alert! In the first episode, the pigs ask Bing "How to get eggs?", and Bing tells them to dig underneath the birds to get to the eggs. In the second episode, the pigs use Bing Maps to ensure their efforts are successful. So they dig, Bing Maps guides them so they don’t end up in the wrong place, they find the eggs and they steal them.

Rovio Mobile is promoting Bing in another way. Angry Birds and Angry Birds Seasons “feature integrated, contextual Bing searches to help players find solutions for tricky levels, and discover the elusive Golden Eggs,” explained Rovio Mobile. This feature is available for a limited period
