If you are interested in finding out what the 2012 versions of Norton Antivirus and Norton Internet Security have to offer, you will be glad to find out that Symantec publicly released the 2012 Beta versions of these award-winning security software solutions.

Symantec, company that specializes in providing antivirus, antispyware, and internet security software solutions, explained that the 2012 versions have a revamped user interface, even better performance, and enhanced protection to offer. The Betas come with a new feature that assesses the stability and safety of an application before installing the application, mainly the latest version of Norton’s exclusive reputation-based security technology, Insight 3.0.

Downloaded files are checked by Insight 3.0 to see if they are safe to run and they are also checked for potential stability issues. This way users have security and stability information about an application before installing it on their systems.

“As we’ve proven year after year, we are committed to arming consumers against cybercrime with the strongest protection possible, without slowing down their computers,” said Jens Meggers, vice president of engineering, for Norton products. “For the Norton 2012 release, our aim is to continue to raise the bar for both protection and performance.”

If you would like to get Norton Antivirus 2012 Beta or perhaps Norton Internet Security 2012 Beta, you can download these applications from the Norton Beta site here. The usual Beta warnings apply – it may not work, it may be buggy, it may ruin your day. If you don’t know that Beta testing a product entails, you are better of waiting for the final versions of Norton Antivirus 2012 and Norton Internet Security 2012 to be released.

Let me tell you what I am waiting for – the ads that promote Norton Internet Security 2012. Last year Symantec came up with a few ads starring Dolph Lundgren and David Hasselhoff and I thought they were brilliant.
