UPDATE July 10: Microsoft rolled out another commercial that bashes the iPad. This time the ad features a couple of baseball scouts. Find out more here.

Microsoft rolled out a new ad in which it uses Siri’s voice to highlight several things the iPad can’t do. This brings back memories of the famous “Get a Mac” ads that bashed Microsoft’s PCs.

The video above is a new ad released by Microsoft with the aim of promoting Windows 8-powered tablets. While the images roll, a voice similar to Apple’s Siri personal assistant tells you that the iPad does not update like that, can’t do more than one thing at a time, and doesn’t play nicely with PowerPoint. The ad ends with the Siri clone saying that the iPad, the more expensive alternative to a Windows 8 tablet, should just be used for playing chopstics. This is of course a reference to the iPad Mini ad that Apple rolled out in the autumn of 2012.

The Windows 8-powered tablet used in Microsoft’s ad is the Asus Vivotab Smart. If you’re note familiar with the device, here’ a quick look at its main features.
