Learn to Play the Drums with Roland US
If you are planning on becoming a big rock star but are not very well endowed in the vocal department, nor are you willing to learn how to play the guitar, then perhaps the drums are your best alternative. The logic is that if you become a rather good drummer you can still become a big name in the music industry. Take Lars Ulrich from the legendary rock band Metallica, who is a drummer and one of the best known names in the industry.
The Roland Corporation US has recently released a new software product that is meant to aid you in learning how to play the drums called Roland DT-HD1.
Amanda Whiting, Product /Artist Relations with Roland Corporations US comments: “Roland’s Drums & Percussion Division is proud to introduce new drum lesson software for owners of the HD-1 electronic drum kit. The DT-HD1 drum tutorial teaches introductory drum patterns and techniques in ways that are fun and easy for any entry-level drummer. This new software integrates seamlessly with the award-winning Roland HD-1 V-Drums® Lite, an incredibly quiet, conveniently compact and affordable kit that brings quality sounds and ease-of-use to anyone who wants to learn to play drums.”
Here are the bits and pieces that you will notice in the HD-1 drum tutor:
- A total pf 34 present patterns that are SMF compatible.
- A notation screen that features a bouncing ball and timing check.
- A game screen with score points and falling blocks.
- Drum and pad solo
- Metronome
- UM-1G USB-MIDI interface and audio cable
The software developed by the Roland Corporation will work on Windows Vista and Windows XP. The thing is that it is not exactly cheap, coming it at about $100. Still, it is a lot more educational than playing Guitar Hero.
