The original iPhone, which was released more than 8 years ago, came with no front-facing camera and with a 2MP rear camera that could take photos but couldn’t shoot video. It was a pretty decent camera for the time, but by today’s standards, it’s practically unusable. A 2MP camera doesn’t impress anyone these days and the lack of a front-facing camera is a definite no-no for selfie enthusiasts.

Things have changed a lot since Apple released the 1st generation iPhone. The infographic presented below shows how much the iPhone’s camera has changed, starting with the original iPhone and going all the way up to the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus (the latest releases at the time of writing this).
