Graph Seach, the new personalized search engine that Facebook introduced at the start of the year, starts rolling out to the public today.

Back in January, incredibly popular social networking site Facebook introduced a new search engine called Graph Search. This new service puts a personal touch on the searching experience – it delivers personalized results based on the content your friends and contacts have shared on Facebook.

You can search for any type of content that was shared with you on Facebook. You can for example search for music your friends like, search for photos of your friends, search for friends who share your interests, and more. Type in a query like “photos of my friends in Paris” and you will be provided a list of images your friends took in Paris. Type in something like “Music my friends like” and you will be presented with a list of artists and bands your friends like. Say you’re into kiteboarding and you want to see which of your friends also the sport as well. Enter the query “people who like kiteboaridng” and you will get an answer.

When Graph Search was introduced, it was released as a very limited Beta program for US audiences only. “To help make sure you have a great experience with Graph Search, we're starting with a limited beta program for English (US) audiences first. If you'd like to be among the first to try it when it's available in your area, please join the waiting list,” explained Facebook at the time.

After six months of Beta testing, it looks like Facebook is ready to roll out Graph Search to the general public. The company announced that Graph Serach starts rolling out today and in a few weeks the new social search engine will be available to millions of Facebook users around the world. Expect to get Graph Search if your Facebook’s language is set to English US.
