Popular social network Facebook recently introduced a new search engine called Graph Search. It is a personalized search engine that delivers personalized results based on the content shared with you on Facebook.

Facebook is taking a social approach to online searching by introducing a new social search engine called Graph Search. Using this personalized search engine you can uncover information that is relevant to you. You can for example search for music your friends like, search for photos of your friends, search for friends who share your interests, and more. To put it bluntly, you can look up anything that was shared with you on Facebook.

Type in a query like “photos of my friends in Paris” and you will be provided a list of images your friends took in Paris.
Type in something like “Music my friends like” and you will be presented with a list of artists and bands your friends like.
Say you’re into kiteboarding and you want to see which of your friends also like the sport. Enter the query “people who like kiteboarding” and you will get an answer.

These are just a few search queries you can perform using Graph Search. You can try a search by clicking here and you can take a closer look at the type of functionality Graph Search has to offer by clicking here.

Graph Search was rolled out in a very limited Beta program for US audiences only. “To help make sure you have a great experience with Graph Search, we're starting with a limited beta program for English (US) audiences first. If you'd like to be among the first to try it when it's available in your area, please join the waiting list,” explained Facebook.

To sum it up, Facebook introduced Graph Search, a social search engine that lets you look up any info that was shared with your on Facebook. Right now Graph Search is available as a very limited Beta program. You can find out more about the social search engine and join the waiting list here.
