Dropbox introduced a new feature that lets you share folders on your mobile. The good news is that Android users can enjoy this new feature right now. They can get the latest Dropbox version and easily share folders on the go.

The bad news is that the new feature is not available for iPhone users. Not now at least. The Dropbox team explained that folder sharing will be rolled out to iOS early next year.

Dropbox has an early Christmas present for mobile users. The company behind the cloud storage service recently introduced a new feature that lets mobile users share folders from their devices. Create a new folder or open and existing folder and you can share it with others. You can send a link to the people you want to access the folder and you can invite people to the folder – this way they can view and edit the files in the folder.

Android users can enjoy the functionality presented above right away. They need only get the latest Dropbox version, mainly version 2.3.12. The Dropbox app is available for download for free in Google’s Play Store here.

iPhone users cannot enjoy the 'shared folders' functionality right now. They will have to wait for a bit. The Dropbox team explained that the iOS app will be updated early next year. That’s when iOS users will be able to share folders from their mobile devices.

Since we’re talking about sharing, I am going to remind you about Instagram’s new feature, Instagram Direct. What Instagram Direct does is it lets you share photos and/or videos with a select group of people. You can send photos and videos to certain people and you can see the photos and videos that people have sent directly to you. You can enjoy the new Instagram Direct feature if you have Instagram 5.0 for iOS or Instagram 5.0 for Android.
