Out of the many apps, products, and services that Google has to offer, the following 7 have managed to rack up more than a billion users.

A billion is a big number and a big deal. After all, it’s almost one-third of all people on the Internet.

1. Chrome desktop and mobile web browser

Gone are the days when Google’s web browser was the newcomer to the market. Chrome has managed to dethrone Microsoft’s Internet Explorer as the most widely used browser. It is Chrome that holds the lion’s share of the browser market now, followed by Mozilla’s Firefox, Apple’s Safari, and Microsoft Edge, the browser that replaced Internet Explorer on Windows 10.

Back in April, when Google rolled out Chrome version 50, it marked the occasion by presenting some amazing stats. One of them was that Chrome is used on more than 1 billion mobile devices each month.

Earlier this month, during his keynote speech at the Chrome Dev Summit 2016, VP of Chrome Darin Fisher announced that there are over 2 billion active Chrome browsers across desktop and mobile. Skip to 1:10 in the video embedded below.

2. Gmail app and webmail service

Gmail may come pre-installed on many Android devices, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it is the first Android app to reach 1 billion downloads. That happened way back in 2014, so here’s something more current.

Back in February, during Google’s earnings call, CEO Sundar Pichai revealed that the web-based email service has more than 1 billion registered users and about 100 million monthly active users.

Did you know that Google updated Gmail for iOS earlier this month? This is the first major update the official Gmail for iOS app got in 4 years. It comes with a fresh, sleek new look and a trio of highly-requested features that you’re sure to love: support for swiping, improved search, and the option to unsend emails.

3. Maps app and web mapping service

As mentioned above, Gmail was the first Android app to score 1 billion downloads. Care to guess which app reached that milestone next? Why Google Maps of course. Mid-2014, the Gmail app hit 1 billion downloads.

That’s quite an incredible achievement, especially when you take into consideration that in March 2011, Google’s Marissa Mayer said that the company provided map services to 150 million users.

4. Android mobile operating system

During Google’s 2015 Nexus event, Google CEO Sundar Pichai revealed that the Android mobile operating system is used by more than 1.4 billion people around the world.

"Android is a free, open operating system that was built to create more choice for users. It’s an OS every phone-maker can build on, every app-developer can create for, and every mobile operator can work with. Today, it’s helping people all over Europe and all over the world build businesses, create and innovate, while providing more choice for everybody," says Google, who is currently fighting antitrust charges in the EU.

Google has moved away from the Nexus brand, deciding to focus on the Pixel instead. The Pixel is the first smartphone that's made by Google inside and out.

5. Google Play app store and digital distribution service

If you want to get app for your Android device, you need Google Play. And seeing that Android powers more than 1.4 billion devices worldwide, is it any surprise that Google Play has more than a billion users?

The Google Play branding covers several services: music, books, news, movies & TV, games, and apps. Focusing on apps alone, I want to bring up the fact that that Google Play app store is home to more than 1.9 million apps.

6. YouTube video-sharing website and app

Want to watch a movie trailer? Go to YouTube. Want to listen to some music? Go to YouTube. Want to see something funny? Go to YouTube. Want to learn how to do something? Go check out a tutorial on YouTube.

YouTube is the go-to location for a lot of people who want to watch online videos. And according to the latest statistics, more than 1 billion people around the world watch videos on YouTube. They watch 6 billion hours’ worth of videos per month, watch 4 billion videos per day, and upload 300 hours of video per minute.

7. Google Search search engine and app

The Google Search search engine is what made the company the powerhouse it is today. The search engine has more than 4.5 billion active users, gets 100 billion queries per month, handles more than 3 trillion searches per year, and has so far managed to index over 30 trillion web pages.

Which Google product will hit 1 billion users next?

I think Google Translate will be the next Google product to hit the 1 billion users milestone, and here’s why. Earlier this year, Google Translate celebrated its 10th anniversary by sharing some interesting facts, chief among them being that Google Translate is used by more than 500 million people around the world and that the service translates more than 100 billion words per day.
