While some people decide to go on a tech-free vacation, others find it impossible to unplug. And why would you unplug? After all, vacation time is your phone’s chance to shine.

You’re going to rely on it more than ever. You’re going to use it to…


1. Get around



Reading a map, a traditional map, is confusing. Not to mention that it doesn’t automatically find your location, doesn’t tell you what interesting places are nearby, and doesn’t remind you about forgetting Junior in the car.


2. Check the weather



Looking out the window isn’t enough. You need precise measurements. How else will you know if its 28 or 29-degrees Celsius?


3. Pay for stuff



Apple, Samsung, and Google put a lot of time and effort into their mobile payment systems. You’re not going to stop using them just because you’re on vacation. Besides, isn’t cash all kinds of dirty?


4. Entertain yourself



Your phone is waterproof. You can use it at the beach and read something, play a game, or watch a video, safe in the knowledge that water can’t damage it.


5. Let everyone know what you’re doing



If you don’t take your phone with you, how are all your friends going to know where you are, what you’re doing, what you’re eating, and so on.
