YouTube is making some interesting new changes, changes that music lovers are sure to appreciate. Among them is the introduction of a paid music subscription service called YouTube Music Key Beta. Pay for a subscription and you get to enjoy an ad-free music playing experience, play videos offline, and play music in the background.
YouTube Music Key Beta is offered for the promotional price of $7.99/month. It’s discounted from $9.99/month down to $7.99/month. Please note that by paying for YouTube Music Key Beta you also get a Google Play Music subscription. I remind you that 30+ million songs and expert-curated playlists are available on Google Play Music.
I started this article by saying that YouTube is making some changes that music lovers will appreciate. Apart from the introduction of the YouTube Music Key Beta premium service, YouTube is introducing a new music-only section and it is introducing a new feature that lets you see an artist’s discography and play full albums.
Open the YouTube app on your iPhone or Android and you will see a new Music section.
Visit the YouTube website on your desktop computer and you will see a new Music section up at the top next to What to Watch and My Subscriptions.
From this new Music section you can see new tracks from the music channels you subscribe to, access personalized music recommendations, and play YouTube mixes.
While finding songs on YouTube is a relatively simple task, finding full albums is a bit trickier. The YouTube Team said that “in the coming days, you'll be able to see an artist’s discography on YouTube, and play a full album with both their official music videos and high-quality songs our music partners added to YouTube.”
But the biggest change YouTube introduced is the new YouTube Key Beta premium service.
