“The Mac has consistently outpaced the PC industry and OS X continues to be the most innovative and easy to use operating system in the world,” said Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering. “OS X Mavericks is our best version yet and features new Maps and iBooks apps, Finder Tags and Tabs, enhanced multi-display support, performance and energy saving features, and an all new Safari.”

Trips planned with Maps on Maverick can be send to the iPhone. And once on the iPhone, you can enjoy voice navigation while on the road.
Finder Tabs aims to reduce the clutter by consolidating multiple Finder windows into one window with multiple tabs. Files can be moved between tabs, the view for each tab can be customized, Finder can be run with multiple tabs open in full-screen.
Using Apple TV and AirPlay you can turn your HDTV as a second display with OS X 10.0 Mavericks.
OS X 10.9 Maverick will be rolled out the Mac App Store this fall.
