Before you go get Opera 11.60 Beta, perhaps you would like to know what new bits and pieces it has to offer. Here’s a quick list that presents the main changes in Opera 11.60 Beta:
  • Improved compatibility thanks to the new HTML5 parser. Support for HTML5 custom scheme and content handlers

It’s best to have a back up, in case something were to go wrong. Remember that you’re dealing with a Beta release, which means that the chances of something going wrong are higher than normal.

The current stable version of Opera is 11.52 which carries the codename Swordfish. The upcoming Opera 12 version which is expected to drop in the near future carries the codename Wahoo. Opera Software is now concomitantly working on Tunny and Wahoo.
