The AVG Cleaner app for Android-powered devices has been updated to version 2.0 and got some nice new features.

Android users who are familiar with AVG Uninstaller for Android will recognize these new features. That’s because AVG Uninstaller functionality has been integrated into AVG Cleaner for Android 2.0.

Security company AVG Technologies recently announced that it rolled out version 2.0 of its AVG Cleaner app for Android. This updated version comes with several new features – features that were taken from another AVG app, mainly AVG Uninstaller for Android. This means that functionality offered by AVG Cleaner and AVG uninstaller can be easily accessed from a single location: AVG Cleaner 2.0’s interface.

AVG Uninstaller has the following main features to offer:
  • Sort apps by storage space and see how much space each app takes up on your device. You can remove the apps that take up too much space.
  • Sort apps by how often/rarely you use them. Uninstall the apps that you hardly ever use.
  • Sort apps by how much battery they use. Get rid of the apps that are too much of a drain on your battery.
  • Sort apps by how much data they use and find out which app eats too much of your data plan.

All the features that AVG Uninstaller has to offer, all the features presented above, they’re now offered by AVG Cleaner for Android 2.0. They were added to the app’s existing list of features:
  • Intuitive, user friendly, easy to use interface.
  • Monitor device memory and storage space.
  • Remove and clear browsing history usage, phone call logs, SMS logs, cached processes.
  • Weekly cleaning function that automatically frees up memory.

Getting back to the AVG Uninstaller functionality that has been integrated into AVG Cleaner, it must be said that you can set it up so that once a week you will receive notifications about rarely used apps.

AVG Cleaner is available for free on Google’s Play Store.
AVG Uninstaller is also available for free on Google’s Play Store.
