Sure, text remains the main method of communicating with others when using a messenger application like Skype, but if you really want to get the message across, using an emoticon, emoji or sticker can’t hurt. Emoticons first showed up back in 1982 and grew in popularity ever since. It’s gotten to a point when emoticons, emoji and stickers are used by millions of people around the world and... we even celebrate World Emoji Day.
