The week is almost over and you’re excited to go home and play video games all weekend long. But... you don’t want to play any of the games you already own and you don’t want to spend any money on buying something new. Well, since you’re not exactly sure what to play, let me throw a few suggestions your way.

Steam is currently having three "free weekend" deals to offer: Deformers, Battle Dome, and Mirage: Arcane Warfare. You can play these three games for free until Sunday, June 11, at 1PM Pacific Time. On top of all this, Steam has one more deal to offer: a free permanent copy of Payday 2, while supplies last – a.k.a. the first 5 million customers who want to grab it.

1. Deformers

The goal in Deformers, a multiplayer brawler game released in April 2017, is simple: you have to out-battle, out-eat, and out-score your opponents. You are in control of a ball-shaped creature called a Form and you have to use it to roll, jump, dash, and absorb items in a fast-paced melee combat for supremacy. There are 40 Forms to choose from across 4 distinct species, and you can personalize your Form’s looks with hundreds of different styles.

If you want to give Deformers a try, you can play the game for free until Sunday at 1PM Pacific Time. If you like the game and you want to add it to your Steam library, you can grab it for a 50% discount until Monday at 10AM Pacific Time.

Deformers – Quick Facts

2. Battle Dome

After spending about a year in Early Access, Battle Dome has just been released on Steam yesterday, June 8. What is this game all about? Well, it is a 5 vs. 5 shooter that’s best played with a virtual reality headset (HTC Vive or Oculus Rift). The goal in the game is to get to your opponent's base and destroy their core before they destroy yours. If you’re playing a color map, you must also spread your team’s color. This is important because you can only teleport onto your team’s colored tiles.

Battle Dome is available for free on Steam until Sunday, at 1PM Pacific Time. If you like the game and you want to buy it, then you need to know that it is 40% off until Monday at 10AM Pacific Time.

Battle Dome – Quick Facts
  • Game type – 5 v 5 competitive SciFi VR shooter (there is a mouse and keyboard mode, but VR is recommended).
  • Release date – June 8 on Steam, after having spent about a year in Early Access.
  • Price – regularly priced at $15 on Steam. It’s discounted by 40% until Monday, meaning you can get it for $9.
  • Reviews – Very Positive rating on Steam, based on 425 reviews at the time of writing this.
  • About – Have a virtual shootout with other players! Work by yourself or with teammates to achieve victory. Will you survive the Battle Dome?

3. Mirage: Arcane Warfare

Tear your enemies limb from limb using melee or magic. That’s… that’s pretty much all you need to know about Mirage: Arcane Warfare, a multiplayer FPS that was released in May 2017 alongside all these other games.

If you want to give Mirage a try, Steam is offering it for free until Sunday at 1PM Pacific Time. The game is discounted as well, but not by a lot: 10% off until June 21. You could get the Standard Edition for $27 instead of $30 or €25.19 instead of €28 and the Special Edition for $36 instead of $40 or €33.29 instead of €37.

Mirage: Arcane Warfare – Quick Facts
  • Game type – skill-based multiplayer first-person shooter from the creators of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.
  • Release date – May 23, 2017 on Steam.
  • Price – regularly priced at $30 for the Standard Edition and $40 for the Special Edition. Discounted by 10% until June 21.
  • Reviews – Mostly Positive rating on Steam, based on 203 reviews at the time of writing this.
  • About – The calm of a strange fantasy world is shattered by ruthless civil war. Warriors armed with steel and magic bring violence and death as they do battle across a fantastical Arabian and Persian-inspired setting of desert sands, market bazaars and grand palaces.

Bonus – Payday 2 is free for a limited time

Steam is currently offering Payday 2 for free, but only while supplies last. The offer is available until June 21 or until 5 million copies have been given away, whichever comes first. If you’re not familiar with Payday 2, here’s the quick lowdown: released in August 2013, it is a 4-player co-op shooter where you have to pull jobs, earn money, and become a legendary criminal.

Last month, developer Overkill announced that Payday 2 and all Payday 2 DLCs would be consolidated into a single Ultimate Edition. That Ultimate Edition should have been released this week, but the studio said that more time is needed to "work out a few kinks." In preparation for Payday 2 Ultimate Edition, Overkill has removed all Payday 2 DLCs from Steam. The Ultimate Edition will be priced at $45.

Payday 2 VR will be released later this year and it will be offered for free to anyone who already owns Payday 2.
