SoftXMLLib includes basic functions and properties that Microsoft.XMLDOM ActiveXObject has. Main problem with manipulating XML files is a compatibility across different web browsers. The purpose of the SoftXMLLib Library is to solve the problem of creating different XMLHTTP and XMLDOM objects for different browsers. So you as web developer will have only one cross-browser API.
