funBOOK - Mobile Phone Phonebook Management - English Publisher Description
p.fun { text-align:justify; font-family:Arial,Helvetiva,Verdana,sans-serif; color:#606060; font-size:10pt; text-decoration:none; margin-top:3px; margin-bottom:3px; } h1.fun { text-align:left; font-family:Arial,Helvetiva,Verdana,sans-serif; color:#E90000; font-size:10pt; text-decoration:none; font-weight:bold; margin-top:12px; margin-bottom:3px; clear:both; } a.fun { font-family:Arial,Helvetiva,Verdana,sans-serif; color:#E90000; font-size:10pt; text-decoration:none; font-weight:bold; } Incomparable funBOOK makes managing phone numbers on your mobile phone easier than ever before. Benefit from the convenience of a Palm PDA instead of fumbling with the numerical keypad of your mobile when editing your records. Synchronise your mobile's telephone book with your Palm. Everything in order funBOOK manages telephone numbers in any number of WorkBooks. Each WorkBook record consists of a name, call number and a memory slot (on the mobile or a SIM card). As the length of a name record in mobile phones is usually restricted, and no distinction is made between first names and surnames, many lists have two different views, the original view and the view on the mobile phone. Child's play The graphical user interface with the Start Center, popup menus and lots of icons make funBOOK simple to use. Wizards, tool tips and the help integrated in every dialog mean greater convenience of use. Importing into funBOOK Telephone numbers can be imported into a WorkBook from a Palm address book, a mobile phone or from another WorkBook. When importing from a Palm address book, the user can choose between simple or complex compilation rules to define how the name on the mobile phone is to be composed from the first name, surname or the company name. If required, a type designation can also be attached to the name, e.g. to differentiate between business and private numbers. A preview function helps when defining the rules. If only certain sections of addresses are to be imported, these can be selected individually or by using the convenient filter rules. Exporting from funBOOK The contents of a WorkBook can be exported to a mobile phone or into a Palm address book. When exporting to a mobile, it is only possible to transfer either edited records or the entire WorkBook. All existing records on the mobile are deleted first when exporting a complete WorkBook. Either selected records or an entire WorkBook can be imported into a Palm address book, however, whereby a call number can be allocated to an existing record or created as a new record. And this is how easy it is to edit the phone book on your mobile Let's assume that you want to edit your mobile's phone book. To do this, select the function "Import from mobile" in the Start Center. This creates a new WorkBook and all your phone numbers are loaded from the mobile. You can now edit or delete the records, or create new ones. When you have finished, export the WorkBook back to your mobile phone. And this is how easy it is to transfer a Palm address book to your mobile phone Let's assume here that you want to export all the call numbers from a Palm address book to your mobile phone. To do this, first create a new WorkBook and then open it. If required, you can change the rules you want to use for compiling the names in the settings. Sample records immediately demonstrate what effects your changes will have. Then select "Import from address book". If you do not want any fax numbers in your mobile phone, set the filter so that the phone number type is unequal to "Fax". Select the function "Export to mobile" to transfer all the call numbers to your mobile phone. Are you an individualist? Do you want to customise your funBOOK? No problem. With the accompanying Microsoft Windows application, you can convert an image into the funBOOK format and display it in the Start Center. Extremely communicative funBOOK is extremely communicative and supports mobile phone links using an infrared, Bluetooth or serial interface. And to make using it even more simple, funBOOK also supports the Palm 5-Way Navigator, the Sony JogDial, as well as the Handspring Rocker Switch. Complying with standards funBOOK uses the AT commands defined in the GSM standard to access the mobile phone's address book. A large number of mobiles offer extended phone book functionality. Unfortunately, however, these are frequently incompatible with external interfaces and can therefore not be supported by funBOOK. funBOOK can be used with many mobile phones from Siemens to configure the function VIP. Marry in haste, repent at leisure Test before you buy: funBOOK can be used for 30 days without any restrictions. This is plenty of time to find out if funBOOK functions correctly with your mobile phone. Buy funBOOK on its own or for a special price in a bundle with funSMS 3, the prize-winning SMS manager. fun4palm More detailed information about all the features can be found on the Internet at fun4palm.de Guaranteed as always fun communications, who developed funBOOK, employs over 50 people in its research, quality assurance and support departments. You can therefore be sure that funBOOK will continue to be maintained and developed in the future.
