Overview
RocketElite is an addictive fast-action space-shooter serving up oodles of polished gameplay. Once it's loaded, we dare you to stop! RocketElite capitalizes on the strengths of handheld devices to create what many have said is, "perhaps the best Pocket PC game ever created." Now available also for the Sharp Zaurus platform!

Features
  • Blistering performance! All the sound and graphics code for this game, as well as the game engine itself, were created from scratch and optimized for each device type.
  • Compete head-2-head against another player over wired or wireless UDP/IP or irDA using the power-ups, weapons, and ship upgrades available in the single player game.
  • Game engine includes object physics, transparencies, particle effects, and a full scrolling background. The entire game is designed around fixed-point arithmetic for lightning speed, realistic physics, and smooth animation.
  • Smart AI opponents of varying difficulties and devastating weapons, all upgradeable.
  • Unlimited Replayability. In addition to all the levels that come with the game, players can create or download additional single level or multilevel "campaign style" add-ons for use with RocketElite.
  • Multiple Difficulty Settings: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Insane. There are a number of changes to the game play at each difficulty setting to keep the game challenging for everyone.
  • No button problems. RocketElite was designed around button limitations.
  • Plenty of ship upgrades and power-ups along the way. The ship has 5 categories of ship upgrades that have a total of 6 levels each. The categories are: Fuel Systems, Deflector Shield, Tractor Beam, Weapons, and Defensive Systems.
  • Persistent ship upgrades. Once you obtain an upgrade it will stay with you until you complete the campaign.
  • Each level has unique graphics and environmental effects to deal with and adapt to.
  • All levels in the single player campaign are also designed for multiplayer deathmatch.
  • Networking interface engine optimized for a high-speed, lag-free gaming experience.
  • Cheats! (If you can find them =b)
  • When you're done playing you'll scratch your head and say, "Wow, I didn't realize this was possible on a Handheld!"
Changes
1.02
  • Fixed time limited levels. Before the time limit was counted down in less than a second (first such level is Earth Bonus 1).
  • Training mode fixed (now runs at half the speed).
  • Work around bugs in OPIE to correctly remove the taskbar icon when exiting (note that this bug is fixed in newer versions of OPIE).

OS: Linux
Requirements: WM5/6
Whats new:
The user interface significantly improved. Added an anti-keylogger keyboard. Added a built-in FTP manager that allows you to store all of your important SecureNotes database files on your Web server directly from the program. Added the ability to attach files to the notes.
