One Handed-Operation
Dictation and voice recording requires a one-handed operation and with PDictA you can use our patent-pending arrangement of LARGE on-screen buttons. Choose from either LEFT- or RIGHT-handed operation and operate all recording, playback, and editing commands with the same hand you use to hold your Pocket PC.
Pause Button
Use the PAUSE button at any time to ponder and organize your thoughts. Pausing is crucial to your normal thought flow especially when dictation is part of your professional life.
Dynamic Editing
Simple but elegant options provide flexibility for creating and editing recordings. You can INSERT a new recording into an existing recording, OVERWRITE the existing recording, or APPEND to an existing recording. And PDictA keeps earlier recordings if you need to revert to an earlier version.
Record and Run
Record your voice while you run other programs on the Pocket PC. You can read and record at the same time. This allows you to read from your notes while conducting an interview or record yourself practicing your speech while viewing the text or notes for the speech on your Pocket PC.
Universal File Format
PDictA stores recordings as WAV files that are universally playable on almost all computers. In addition, PDictA records using the GSM 6.10 encoding format and the files can be sent by e-mail as they are very compact.
Dictation for Professionals
PDictA is geared for the professional for whom dictation is an every day process. RECORD, PAUSE, REWIND, PLAY actions form the repetitive "process flow" of dictation. All these operations can be done with the thumb of whichever hand holds the Pocket PC.
