One of the best known BitTorrent clients out there is uTorrent and this article is for all the uTorrent users out there who would like to get the extra functionality uTorrent Plus has to offer. The team behind the incredibly popular BitTorrent client announced that you can unlock the mighty features uTorrent Plus has to offer by purchasing the application. Anyone interested can pre-order uTorrent Plus for $24.95. Act now and you will get and additional 6 months for free.

uTorrent Plus is the first paid version of uTorrent to be released to the public. BitTorrent, the company that develops and maintains the BitTorrent protocol as well as the BitTorrent and the uTorrent software applications, introduced uTorrent Plus back in July. It said at the time that uTorrent Plus will be a “premium, fully equipped client for those who are looking for extra convenience and powerful new features”.

Then in October uTorrent Plus once again made the news when an early Alpha version of the BitTorrent client was released to a small group of active testers. BitTorrent explained at the time that the final version of uTorrent Plus will come with the following features:
  • Integrated anti-virus
  • Drag and drop file conversion (transcode files and move them from your PC to your other devices)
  • Built-in HD media player
  • Remote file transfers
  • Dedicated customer support

The final version of uTorrent Plus will be released to the public before the holidays. If you act now you can pre-order uTorrent plus for $24.95 and get an additional 6 month for free.

“uTorrent Plus was specially designed to give our users access to often-requested features. If they are seeking a very easy way to convert files to popular formats to watch on other devices, plus a safer torrenting experience with integrated antivirus (and more), it’s a no-brainer,” BitTorrent spokesperson Allison Wagda told TorrentFreak, site that focuses on everything torrent-related. Allison Wagda went on to say that “the free uTorrent client still offers all the essential functionality and continues to receive significant attention from the development team. uTorrent Plus is exactly what its name implies: everything you love about uTorrent *plus* great new features.”

BitTorrent said on several occasions that once uTorrent Plus is out as a final product, it will not neglect the free uTorrent version. BitTorrent reassured users of the free version by saying that it will continue to support the free version and will continue to allocate the same level of resources to it.
