iPod Touch Becomes Deadly with BulletFlight, the Sniper Friendly App

If I were to ask you to name a few day-to-day items that could kill you, I am sure the iPod touch will not rank amongst the first ones to come to mind. Runaway App has launched a new application for the iPod touch called BulletFlight that uses up to five “ballistic co-efficients with corresponding velocity thresholds” in order to improve your sniper skills. To put it simply, the app will do al the heavy calculating, all the sniper has to do is pull the trigger.

The whole thing goes like this: download the BulletFlight app (which will set you back about $12), get your iPod touch and mount it to a KAC (Knight’s Armament Company) M110 sniper rifle, and shoot away without having to bother with things like wind speed, altitude, distance and outside temperature because the app will do it for you. BulletFlight is meant to work with three sniper riffle models manufactured by Knight’s Armament Company, and uses the Sierra Bullet model to perform all the calculations.

Sounds like an interesting (replace that with weird) app to use on your iPod touch? Well, it is! But it is not the first app out there to aid you in becoming a more efficient hunter (I did not use killer because I am sure none of you will use it one of your “Wanted” fits). That honor goes to iSnipe, which does pretty much the same thing but for a lot less cash – the app will set you back just $5, not $12. The other thing that BulletFlight has working against it is the fact that it is preprogrammed to work best with KAC manufactured sniper riffles: the M110 we mentioned above, the PDW and the 14.5-inch SR16.

If you would like to get BulletFlight, a download location is available here.
