There are certainly loads of things that the iPhone can do (play games, edit photos, identify tunes, stay fit, and detect lies to name but a few), but who would of thought that it can also be your personal massage therapist? Apparently the guys at Wunderkind Group LLC did when they came up with the Massager for iPhone 1.0.1 app.

“Massager puts that massage you've been longing for at your fingertips. Whether you are stressed from work, woke up with a kink in your neck, or just need a break from the daily grind--the solution is just a few clicks away. Now you can de-stress and enjoy a quality, rejuvenating massage anytime you like with this one-of-a-kind application,” explains Wunderkind Group LLC.

The way this application works is by taking advantage of the iPhone’s built in vibrator, the little motor that vibrates every time you get a call, message, and so on. Thanks to It Massager for iPhone 1.0.1 can simulate a total of 4 different massage patterns: Rising Sun, Rolling Waves, Whispering Winds, and Soothing Meadows (all of them are based on Shiatsu, deep tissue and relaxation-type massage styles).

According to Wunderkind Group LLC, there are several locations where you could employ this iPhone app: at the office, at home, at the gym, when you are traveling, and in private, with your significant other (although I thing that in some situations there are other vibrating devices that are more suitable for the task at hand). The thing is that even though it might come on handy whenever there is no other way or relieving that built up stress, the app is not meant to be a proper replacement for a Licensed Massage Therapist.

If you would like to download Massager for iPhone 1.0.1, a download location is available here. iTunes download location available here.
