The chance to win an Android 4.0 "Ice Cream Sandwich" powered Galaxy Nexus smartphone, that is the late Christmas present offered by Avast Software, the Prague-based company that specializes in the development of security software solutions for Windows, Mac and Linux, and Android Police, blog dedicated to everything Android-related.

Avast Software and Android Police are running a contest and they’re giving away a grand total of 10 Galaxy Nexus smartphones. All 10 winners will also get a free avast! Internet Security license. Furthermore, 300 more winners will get a free avast! Internet Security license as well.

There are three ways to take part in the competition and have the chance to win a Galaxy Nexus smartphone, one of the hottest pieces of tech on the market today:
  • 1 – Add Avast’s and Android Police’s accounts to at least one circle on Google +, then re-share a message with your Public circle. The message informs others about Avast’s contest.
  • 2 – Follow Avast and Android Police on Twitter, then tweet a message about the Galaxy Nexus contest.
  • 3 – Like Avast’s and Android Police’s Facebook pages. If you enter the competition via Avast’s Facebook page you will have to predict how many users of avast! Free Mobile Security there will be by February 10, 2012.

After you pick one of the three methods presented above, you need to fill out a form – this is necessary so that Android Police can get in touch with you should you be one of the lucky winners. In the form you must provide your name, email address, and the URL to your tweet, Facebook profile, or Google+ message about the contest.

The contest runs until Saturday, the 7th of January 2012, at 23:59PST.
Additional information on the contest is available on Avast’s blog here and on Android Police’s site here.
