Microsoft founder Bill Gates has words of praise to say about the company’s new wave of products – the Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 operating systems as well as the Surface tablet.

Microsoft recently celebrated 30 years of the employee Giving Campaign and the fact that its US employees raised more than $1 billion in cash for people in need – and more to the point, $1 billion in cash that since 1983 went towards helping 31,000 nonprofit and community organizations. Microsoft Chairman and Founder Bill Gates, together with current Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, commemorated the joyous occasion during a special town hall event.
