Buying Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will set you back $60. That’s if you get the Standard Edition and not one of the pricier versions, like the Digital Deluxe Edition which is priced at $100.

There is a way to get Infinite Warfare for free though. But you have to act fast and you have to spend a lot more than sixty bucks. What am I rambling on about? Here’s the deal!

Sony will give you Infinite Warfare for free, if you buy a PS4

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches on Friday, November 4 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.

To celebrate the game’s launch, Sony is running a special promotion at select retailers in the US and Canada. Said promotion goes like this: buy a PlayStation 4 console on November 4 or November 5, and you get Infinite Warfare for free.

As mentioned above, pricing for the Infinite Warfare game starts at sixty bucks. Pricing for the new, slimmer and lighter PS4 starts at $299.99 American dollars and $379.99 Canadian dollars.

The Uncharted 4 PS4 Bundle is also priced at $299.99 or $379.99 CAD. If you purchase the bundle, you’ll get 'Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End' and 'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare' for free.

Infinite Warfare takes you to space, makes you a wartime leader

Infinite Warfare is the first COD game that takes place in outer space.

In Campaign Mode, you’ll get to play as Captain Reyes, a Tier 1 Special Operations pilot, who takes the helm of the Retribution, one of Earth’s last remaining warships.

Human conflict has spread throughout the solar system. As Captain Reyes, you must lead the remaining coalition forces against a relentless enemy, while trying to overcome the deadly, extreme environments of space.

Several other game modes are available:
  • Multiplayer – this one is self-explanatory.
  • Specialist Mode – no health regeneration, helmets take permanent damage and must be replaced, Nano Shots and helmets take up equipment slots, getting shot in the legs will impact your movement, getting shot in the arm will impact your ability to use equipment or aim down sights. This mode unlocks after beating the game on any difficulty.
  • Yolo Mode – if you die, you start at the beginning of the game. This mode unlocks after beating the game on Specialist Mode.
  • Zombies in Spaceland – travel back in time, to the 1980s, and explore a theme park that’s overrun with undead guests, killer clowns, and more.

But the most exciting way to play Infinite Warfare is… in virtual reality. You can do that via the upcoming Jackal Assault VR Experience for the PlayStation VR, which puts you in the cockpit of a Jackal fighter jet. The VR experience will be released as a free bonus for PS4 only.

Kit Harrington plays the bad guy

Kit Harington, who is best known for playing Jon Snow in the award-winning HBO television series Game of Thrones, plays Rear Admiral Salen Kotch in the COD: Infinite Warfare. Rear Admiral Salen Kotch, in case you don’t know, is the game’s bad guy, the story’s antagonist.
