The Yo ultra-simple messaging app provides support for Apple’s iOS, Google’s Android, and Microsoft’s Windows Phone mobile operating system. This means that you can use the app on your iPhone, on your Android, and on your Windows Phone.

You can also use the Yo app on your Android Wear-powered smartwatch. You see, Yo recently announced that it added support for Android Wear, the operating system that Google created specifically for wearables such as smartwatches.

“We are very excited to support Android Wear as we continue to expand Yo across as many devices and platforms as possible,” announced Yo on its blog. “By downloading the new update for the Android mobile app, Android users will find the Yo app auto installed on their wearable device. If the user is signed into the Android app, their list of friends will also show up on Android Wear.”

Using Yo on iOS, Android or Windows Phone is an incredibly simple process – using it on Android Wear is an incredibly simple process as well. Your list of friends is displayed on your smartwatch’s screen; just scroll through the list and tap the friend you want to send a Yo to.

In case you’re not familiar with the Yo app, here’s how it works. Send out a “Yo” as text and as a high-pitched audio notification to any of your friends. With a simple tap on your smartphone’s screen you can send out a Yo message to any of your friends.

Yo became an instant phenomenon this summer. The app made the news because it offers an incredibly simple means of staying in touch with others, because it raised $1 million, and because it was hacked by people with malicious intent.
