All day today we’ve focused on Yahoo! and its products – because today is Yahoo! Thursday here at FindMySoft and all our attention falls on the Sunnyvale-based American public corporation. As part of today’s coverage of Yahoo!, we have to report that a new app for an Apple-developed device has been released.

No, I am not talking about the iPhone and Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone, which has recently been updated to version 1.4. I am talking about Apple’s latest device, the iPad. Yahoo! has released an app for the iPad called Yahoo! Entertainment for iPad.

Here is what you can do with the Yahoo! Entertainment for iPad app:
- Plan what TV shows you want to watch. In this regard the app provides and interactive program guide that presents programs and sorts them by time, day, channel, content, or genre.
- View video feeds. The app provides video feeds from spors, news, finance, business, entertainment, weather and other providers.
- Stay on top of the news. The app delivers all sorts of news articles to you, from fashion news to book reviews, odd stories, or entertainment news.

“Using editorialized, real-time content, Yahoo! Entertainment surfaces and recommends TV shows, entertainment news, TV listings, book reviews, and a wide variety of popular videos from across the Web. Our industry-leading entertainment properties on the PC attract nearly 200 million visitors each month worldwide*, making this a natural area for us to initially focus our creative energy on. We’re taking the content we know people love and combining it into a single, immersive app,” explained Yahoo’s Lucas Mast.

If you would like to get Yahoo! Entertainment for iPad, you can grab it straight from the App Store here.
