Yahoo! Messenger users will be glad to find out that Yahoo! has rolled out a Beta version of the upcoming Yahoo! Messenger 11. The current stable version of Yahoo! Messenger is v. 10, which was rolled out as a Beta back in August, 2009 – it graduated out of Beta a couple of months later, in November 2009. Let’s hope that Yahoo! Messenger 10 will take a couple of months to graduate out of Beta as well.

If you are aching to try out the Beta version of Yahoo! Messenger 11, you can get it straight from Yahoo! here. But if you stick around, I will tell you what you can expect to get from Yahoo! Messenger 11 Beta. Here goes:

Social Games
With Yahoo! Messenger 11 Beta you can play social games with your friends and you can do it within Yahoo! Messenger. You can play games from Elex (Happy Harvest & Happy Manor), OMGPOP (Balloono, Pool, Draw My Thing) and Zynga (Fishville and Mafia Wars).

You can join a friend’s game by clicking his or her status and you can invite friends to join you by updating your status.

Social Networks
With Yahoo! Messenger 11 Beta you can view, comment on and like updates from Yahoo! Pulse, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, and more. You can also post your status to multiple social networks (Yahoo! Pulse, Facebook, and Twitter) and chat with friends from other networks (Windows Live, Facebook).

Yahoo! Messenger is in fact a central hub that puts together all your social experiences from across the web.

Always Connected
While you are in front of your desktop, you can use Yahoo! Messenger 11 Beta and soon enough Yahoo! Messenger 11 Final. When you are out and about, you can stay in touch with your friends by using Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone or Yahoo! Messenger for Android. Or you can just use Yahoo! Mobile Web Messenger, an app that you do not need to install on your phone; you need only go to m.yahoo.com/messenger using your phone’s mobile browser.

Getting back to the desktop version of Yahoo! Messenger, if you switch desktops around a lot, you will be glad to know that you can do two things now:
1. Stay signed in to multiple PCs simultaneously so you never miss a message.
2. Retrieve recent IM conversations from any PC where you have signed in to Yahoo! Messenger.

“As with any new release, we want to hear all about your experience — what’s working well for you and what’s not. Try it today and let us know what you think through the “Send Feedback” link on the Help menu,” said Product Manager John Dunning.
