Can you believe that Yahoo!, the search engine created by Jerry Yang and David Filo That started out in a trailer at Stanford, has been around for 15 years? Indeed, Yahoo! has been around for 15 years now and it has become a true giant on the web. One that holds the third sport amongst internet properties with the most traffic.

"We want to share our pride, gratitude and excitement on this 15th birthday, with all Yahoo! users (600 million of them), customers and partners. It continues to be an incredible ride for the two of us, as well as for thousands of Yahoo! employees we have had the privilege of working with over the years. The Internet still has enormous and untapped potential. There are billions of more people we need to drive online, and then provide them with relevant content and opportunities that they’ve never dreamed about before,” commented Jerry Yang and David Filo.

What is Yahoo! doing to celebrate this joyous occasion? Starting today, the 2nd of March, it is launching a trivia challenge on popular micro-blogging site Twitter. There are 15 questions to answer – they relate to Yahoo!’s global properties. The questions will be posted on Yahoo!'s official Twitter account every hour starting with 8AM PT, the 2nd of March.

“Find the answer to each question by using the link we provide to the Yahoo! site where the answer can be found. Tweet your response to @yahoo using the hashtag #Y15a. Start your answer with the letter “A” (for “answer”), and the number of the question you’re answering. So, for example, if you’re answering question 5, your reply should look something like: A5 <this is your answer to Question 5> #y15a,” explained on behalf of the Yahoo! Team, Lucas Mast.

What makes games fun? That’s right, the prizes! The grand prize is a Nikon Cool Pix S230 Yahoo! Camera and a Jawbone Earcandy Bluetooth Headset (ARV $305). On top of that, four first prize winners will be awarded a Mimobot Yahoo! USB flash drive (ARV $20).
