Yesterday Yahoo! announced to the world that its brand new advertising portal called Yahoo! Advertising Solutions has been rolled out to the public. The portal, which you can visit by clicking this link, is meant to showcase the company’s advertising solutions for mid-to-large tier advertisers and agencies.

“After months of brainstorming, researching, designing, engineering, writing, reworking, user testing, and collecting focus-group insights, the Yahoo! B2B group is proud to announce the launch of its brand-new advertising portal, Yahoo! Advertising Solutions,” announced Yahoo! yesterday.

Yahoo! explained that the new advertising portal would give it “a powerful vehicle to drive B2B Marketing goals and re-establish the company as a thought leader in the industry.”

Know the water cooler in your office where everybody meets to have a drink and talk for a bit. Yahoo! Advertising Solutions is meant to be something like that. The portal is meant to be an environment that educates and inspires marketers, ad creatives, producers, publishers, and other advertising execs.

The portal provides a modern visual design and a content-rich experience thanks to Yahoo!’s collaboration with award-winning advertising agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. Yahoo!’s engineering, UED, and B2B teams worked hard alongside the advertising company to create a portal that would provide two key elements of engagement: inspiration and information/education. The portal provides all sorts of valuable and relevant information, including demos, videos, and articles.

In related news, Yahoo!’s EVP and Chief Product Officer Blake Irving recently announced that several Yahoo! products will be revamped this fall. Here are the updates Irving said would be rolled out this fall:
  • “A new Yahoo! Mail experience with even more focus on performance and speed
  • New Yahoo! Search experiences with rich, immersive results that keep you in the loop on the news and entertainment topics that matter to you the most
  • Twitter integration on Yahoo! that will allow you to link your accounts so you can view and share updates with friends across both networks
  • A new Yahoo! app for iPad and other tablets that’s designed to deliver personally relevant news, information, and essentials like weather, commute updates, and more
  • Customized Content Ads with creative formats that leverage an advertiser’s robust content and enable social sharing
  • New Connected TV partnerships that provide consumers with thousands of video-on-demand content sources, social networks, games, music, shopping, and more — all while watching TV.”
