Microsoft rolled out a Bing Rewards app for iOS and Android about five months ago and left its own Windows Phone users waiting. The good news is that the wait is over. Earlier this week, Microsoft rolled out a dedicated Bing Rewards app for Windows Phone.

Back in January, I reported that Microsoft rolled out a Bing Rewards app for iOS and Android-powered phones. By using the app, iOS and Android users can earn credits for using the Bing search engine. Then they can use the credits to get free stuff, like a gift card from a top brand such as Amazon for example.

Great news for iOS and Android, not so much for Windows Phone though. At the time, Microsoft said that a dedicated Bing Rewards app would be released soon. Months passed and passed, but no Bing Rewards app – until this week that is! Late June, Microsoft finally released a dedicated Windows Phone app for Windows Phone.

“This new app is something special we’re launching for users in the Windows Phone community,” said Alex Danskin, Bing Rewards Team. “Set the app as a Live Tile to monitor credits and the status of your search and earn offer. Easily access your dashboard to see all your offers, manage your account, earn and redeem credits, enter sweepstakes and more.”

Bing Rewards App for Windows Phone
  • Manage your account from your Windows Phone.
  • Earn and redeem credits from Amazon.com, Starbucks, Xbox, and many more.
  • Enter sweepstakes.
  • Pin the app to the Start Screen to track available credits and complete daily offers.
  • Check your current status, find out how to move to the next level.

The Bing Rewards app is available for download on Microsoft’s Windows Phone Store.
